The process of learning is presented clearly and carefully. One works on the exercises presented or similar exercises appearing in one's own system, first with large movements, then later with small movements, manipulating what Sigman refers to as the "ground path," the ever moving path through one's musculature that is used to connect from the ground, through the torso, and out to the hand. This is whole body power, the harnessing of the body's largest muscle groups, the upper legs in combination with others which are used to transfer the force generated by the upper legs and pelvic region, in order to strike with as much force as the body can physically generate.
